About Us

We have been raising registered Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys since 2011. We have our own jacks and a small herd of 8-11 breeding jennies. We have experience with breeding, raising, and showing registered stock of all kinds over the years, including Quarter Horses and Paints, Belgian draft horses, mini horses, exotic beef cattle, dairy cattle, pigs, and now Miniature Donkeys which we are concentrating on exclusively.

Meet the Owners

Karen and Bob Pinkney have dedicated their lives to raising exceptional miniature donkeys at Wychmere Farm. With over a decade of experience breeding registered Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys, they bring a wealth of knowledge from years of working with various registered livestock including Quarter Horses, Paints, Belgian draft horses, mini horses, and multiple cattle breeds.

Their passion for miniature donkeys goes beyond breeding—they are committed to producing healthy, well-socialized animals that bring joy to their owners. Karen and Bob personally handle each donkey daily, ensuring they receive the individualized attention and care that makes Wychmere Farm donkeys truly special. Their dedication to visitor education and hands-on experience reflects their genuine love for these remarkable animals and their desire to share the magic of miniature donkeys with others.

Visit Us!

We LOVE visitors who are interested in interacting with our donkeys and their babies, and want to learn more about Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys. We are open from 1 - 5pm every day, including weekends and holidays.

Our breeding/foaling season (their gestation is 12 months!!) is from April through June every year.

There is no charge, but donations are very much appreciated!!

Our Baby Donkeys

We have 6-11 baby donkeys every year, and sell most of them as babies for breeding, therapy, pets, showing, training to ride and/or drive, and/or companions. We sell them as bonded same sex pairs after weaning at 4+ months.

Our Care & Training

We imprint with them at birth, and enjoy working with them and handling them every day of their lives here. They are taught ground manners and to lead, have their feet trimmed, learn to tolerate organic fly spray application in the summer months, and are brushed daily and handled from the tips of their ears to the tips of their toes!!!

We stand behind our donkeys 100%, and consider them a total joy to have around.

We have MANY visitors all year around who like to meet and learn about our little herd of adorable critters. Please contact us if you are interested in having a lot of “low blood pressure moments”!!!!!
